So, we (me, my Mom and Dad) are going to see what state has the best soil (not Miracle Grow although it will take the place of the perfect soil) in all the fifty states plus The District of Columbia.
What we will need to do this, one: we will need a lot of pots. Two: half a up of dirt from every state and The District of Columbia. Three: Miracle Grow (for the perfect soil spot). Four: water. And five: patience.
Detailed plan:
- Get dirt from every state plus The District of Columbia. To get the dirt we will be contacting family and friends to give use a half cup of un-MODIFIED dirt. In the remaining states we will try to contact County Extension Offices.
- I ,myself, will research easy to grow flowers in all types of soil.
- We will research what soil is best for growing flowers.
- We will research/buy soil testing kits for each states soil plus The District of Columbia.
- Put dirt in 52 cups (all the states, plus The District of Columbia ,and Miracle Grow).
- Weigh the cup w/ dirt and make sure the cups have the same weight.
- Plant the seeds.
- Wait for the seeds to germinate and water them every three days.
- weigh each cup w/ dirt and now flower and see witch has the most weight.
Thanks,
Dylan
Hi Dylan, I got your thank you card today -- how does the Maine dirt compare to everyone else?
ReplyDeleteThank you for sending us the dirt, we have just planted so we haven't gotten any results, but I'll let you know how it's doing later.
