Project Update

Hi,

It's me Dylan, I just wanted you to know about our progress, we have planted 2 groups of seeds into soil from around the United States of America, we are using Pansey seeds for the project. We have planted Pansey seeds because when I was reasearching flowers we found that Panseys are very easy to grow. They also reqire little sunlight, still we give them planty of it.

We have planted groups 1 and 2, we have also just planted group 3. I have named them groups 1, 2, and 3 because they were planted at different times, we are letting them have four weeks of growing. We have some sprouts from groups 1 and 2. Group 3 only has one sprout but that's it so I didn't put that one in the blog post. Here are the pictures of both groups 1 and 2.

Group 2

I have observed one major thing, the soil types have  VERY different colors. Also there are lots of different textures, and consistency, i.e. Clay-like, sandy, and rocky. One soil sample was very smelly. This is why I think some states WILL grow flowers better then others, and you can see for yourself how different the types of soil look. Leave a comment on what you think about the soil types. Anyway I have also noticed that almost all of the soil samples have sprouted.

Thanks for stopping by,
                                       Dylan
